Last weekend almost a hundred people wandered through The Cave, one of many destinations on the
Glendale History Walk. If you weren't able to attend, you missed a good bit of
pandemonious fun. Our attempt to see how many unsuspecting history buffs you can fit into a twenty-four case locker is still under review by the Guinness World Record folks, so I'll have to get back to you on that one, but while we were all occupied with that one, attendee Graeme
Whifler took this photo. It's a beautiful shot of the Bordeaux Room,
more so of the original
dance floor that remains from when that room was the ballroom, later said to be a speakeasy during prohibition. Graeme was good enough to let me post this, and you can see his photos of the rest of the History Walk

Because the event was so well attended, what wasn't seen was something I stumbled on this past winter, a newspaper glued to the back wall inside one of the lockers, an upside down funny-pages from the twenties. I still wonder why.
