It has been a long time since our last correspondence, and we've missed you! We hope you've missed us and that you are just as excited about our next upcoming event: A night with Rodrigo Arizu. On Wednesday June 22nd we will be tasting the wines of Vina Alicia, a project headed by the Arizu family, full of tradition as well as innovation.
A few words about the Arizu family.
The Arizu family has been growing grapes in Mendoza for 3 generations, and are largely responsible for propagating and importing more than 50% of the different vinifera species available today in Argentina.
After many, many years of experimentation -different clones of different varieties on different rootstocks in different soils with varying types of trellising and vineyard management and different winemaking methods_ there is simply no one else in the Argentine industry with more knowledge about "the plant" than Alberto Arizu.
Alberto runs the family operations with the help of his wife Alicia and their sons. Alicia and Rodrigo head up the Vina Alicia winery operations, where Rodrigo oversees the winemaking process. Alberto and his eldest son Alberto Junior head up the family's more commercial winery, Luigi Bosca, which we've tasted before. Their other son, Gustavo, manages marleting and international sales for both labels.

The cost of dinner is seventy dollars for both food and wine, tax and gratuity not included.
