Cy-onara, Twombly.

Sadly we end the holiday weekend with the loss of Cy Twombly, a great fricking artist. No one could make a mark like this guy, or figure out how to convert a big fat idea into a seemingly nonchalant gesture with such pure, simple grace. He knew exactly when to stop, where, what to leave behind and what to leave alone. (click on images to enlarge)
