eat flowers, drink wine, try a beer.

poached egg, white bean pate, avocado, arugula, AND FLOWERS.

fried egg, all of the above, AND FLOWERS.

Pork chop - mmmm - white bean pate, etc, AND FLOWERS.

Conclusion: flowers makes everything prettier. Also, they taste amazing.
(Sonny didn't bring any nasturtium this week.  Suffice it to say, I had to get a little stern with her.  Next week there will be flowers.)

Last weekend The Cave was sponsored by this stuff, a 2000 Panza Petite Syrah from Stag's Leap ranch.  It was: dude, this stuff was just an unabashed, unapologetic, big, flagrant, fun bowl of wine.  I'd drink, laugh, drink, laugh...What a great pile of fun that was. AND, Though I've still not read Don Quixote and so didn't know who Sancho Panza was, I also didn't know he was the provider of "broad humour, ironic Spanish proverbs, and earthy wit."  Perfect

(Has anything fallen open this weekend?  You'll just have to find out.)

Last night I opened this, from Duck Rabbit Brewery in North Carolina. Only a little too sweet for my preference, otherwise a pleasant bit of fruity ale.  On their website they state, "When we brew, we’re happy and we dance."

Lot's of mirth going on these days.
