Tonight is the 19th annual Cruise Night in Glendale. Three or so blocks of Brand Blvd. gets closed down and all the very awesome classic cars take over for our perusal. Also, there will be lots of old guys with gray pony-tails wearing Hawaiian shirts.
This is the first guy at the party. Awkward!
Once a year I get to take a leisurely, car-free stroll-a'la-bicycle along the Boulevard. This might even be the same picture I took/posted last year. Isn't it a dream? I've been car-free for about 12 years now, but when they start producing these again, I'm in.
Also, there will be a few bands playing, including one called Surfin' Safari. Sadly, it appears they are playing mostly Beach Boys songs. For awesome/real surf music, definitely go with The Trashmen. Their song Malaguena is the only real surf song you ever need; it'll amaze you your entire life on earth.
